Potential
Here at
CRI people with disabilities can discover new lives of possibility.
A non-profit agency established in 1984 to serve Connecticut, CRI provides
day programs and residential services for individuals of all ages with
special needs--helping them meet new challenges and reach their potential
for self-sufficiency.
Independence
Through a
network of community and professional resources, CRI helps people overcome
physical and cognitive handicaps, gain work or volunteer experience, live
more independently.
Hope
To meet
the varied and complex needs of CRI clients, highly qualified
specialists--physical, occupational, and speech therapists, registered
nurses, behavioral psychologists, physicians, social workers, and direct
service staff--help the men and womenin CRI programs attain more freedom,
greater control.
Support
In
cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation and the
Department of Children and Youth Services, CRI operates Community Training
Homes for children and adults, offering support, affection, and stability
through an interdisciplinary team approach, including training, therapy,
and behavior management.
